Shivani is a clinical social worker and registered yoga teacher who empowers her clients using the guiding principles of empathy, curiosity, cultural humility, and collaboration. She takes an integrative and psychobiological approach to counseling, and works to understand how the intersection of clients’ unique experiences and identities impact them today.
Shivani is committed to working with clients as they face a range of experiences, including multicultural concerns, identity exploration, trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIAA concerns, interpersonal and relationship concerns, chronic illness, and grief and loss. Shivani’s holistic approach incorporates a diverse range of clinical techniques. This includes drawing from her training in Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Gestalt, Interpersonal, Somatic Experiencing, multicultural affirming perspectives, and mindfulness practices.
Shivani helps clients develop an embodied awareness of how their own natural processes of self-healing may have been blocked over time. She guides clients in the process of deepening their self-awareness and taking safe risks. She is honored and eager to help clients to make positive changes, and ultimately, to heal.
