About Ryan Pastor, LCMHC
Ryan works with adults suffering from anxiety, depression, identity issues, interpersonal concerns, and problematic substance abuse. He begins the psychotherapeutic process using person-centered therapy techniques, where the individual is given the autonomy to explore their presenting concerns freely without judgment. Ryan then shifts his theoretical orientation to the needs of the client. He is passionate about counseling theory and frequently educates himself and his clients about the most appropriate evidence based-practices. Ryan also draws from his experience working in an array of mental health settings including residential mental health, inpatient dual-diagnosis, and partial hospitalization programs. He believes that the client-therapist relationship is a sacred bond reflective of one of the most basic human traits: the need to collaborate with one another rather than face life's challenges alone.
