Nina Plocek (they/them/theirs) is an aspiring psychotherapist in their final year at UNC’s School of Social Work. Nina earned a B.A. in Women’s Studies and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Florida. In previous professional roles, Nina has facilitated CBT-based violence prevention groups, worked with queer/trans adolescents in wilderness programs, and provided community-based mental health support in residential settings.
Nina’s primary interests include working with LGBTQ+ folks, providing trauma-informed care, and working with couples. In addition to supporting clients through a collaborative process, they hope to utilize mindfulness-based practices and integrate expressive arts and movement into session.
