About Michelle Tillman Cureton, LCMHC
Ms. Tillman became a mindcare provider because she believes it is her higher purpose to actively listen and follow through with patience and care. With a gentle demeanor, she helps people connect with the changes necessary for improving behavior and cognition. When working with patients she emphasizes finding meaning in one’s life, as well as helping people see their responsibilities in relationships and with themselves. She helps people develop the capacity to express themselves in their own unique ways. Based on a direct yet sensitive approach, Michelle views counseling methods as opportunities to facilitate and coordinate exploration, clarification, and identification of her patients’ needs. Ms. Tillman sees herself as an active conduit in the mental health profession, working with patients towards emotional wellness progress and understanding their thought and behavioral patterns. She uses a wide range of methodologies, including Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to assist, nurture, and heal others by sharing the tools and techniques of clinical knowledge, community resources, and education.
