About Matthew Wolf, MSW, LCSW
Mr. Wolf’s passion is helping people embrace their power, enjoy freedom and love their own uniqueness. He knows that a person’s distinctive characteristics can be invalidated; families, friends, academia, corporations and others may say, “Be Yourself! …No, not like that!” Recognizing the need, Matthew loves helping people who see the world differently and feels inspired by Helen Keller’s quote that, “Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all.” He has wanted to be a therapist since the age of twelve but says that “the state didn’t license class clowns” so he pursued formal mindcare studies. In sessions, he is aware that diagnoses and symptoms rarely define the whole problem. Aiming to reveal how life experiences have shaped his clients, Matthew works to heal what needs healing and to empower people to shamelessly love who they are. He knows this process takes time and requires accountability to make real change. Mr. Wolf respects the courage it takes for a person to look in the mirror and be honest about they see. Clients have told him that he is understanding, respects their time, creates tools tailored to their specific needs and has an exceptional ability to absorb all they say and reframe it in a useful way.
