About Macie Bateman, LCSWA, LCASA
Macie Bateman has always been interested in hearing the stories of others’ and gaining an understanding of others’ walks of life. As a social worker, she can not only learn the from her patients perspectives and experiences, but also help them learn and implement coping skills to help change the narrative and gain more control in their lives. She is most passionate about seeing positive change in the lives of her patients as they work together to process past trauma and incorporate a new narrative that helps them regain control and empower themselves. Macie’s philosophy is to empower her patients to take charge of their own lives through a holistic and relational approach. The therapeutic process with Macie will involve building emotional intelligence to better acknowledge and use emotions beneficially, making lifestyle changes that research has proven to positively impact mental health and building more positive relationships outside of therapy to promote wellbeing. Macie’s goal is to get her patients to a place where they no longer need her. She is an open-minded individual with a broad outlook on the world and will be open to a lot that others may not be. She has a sex-positive viewpoint and a well versed in non-traditional relationships. She also likes to incorporate different self-care, mindfulness, and eclectic modalities to tailor care to the individual needs of the patient she’s working with.
