Lynette Thompson received her Master’s in Social Work from NC Central University in Durham, NC. Prior to that, she got her Bachelor’s in Psychology from UNC Greensboro. She has experience working in NC at the Cone Health Behavioral Health Hospital in Greensboro, the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence in Durham, and the RJ Blackley Substance Abuse Center in Butner, NC. Her work included creating school policies for domestic violence in schools; facilitating psychoeducational groups on goal-setting, coping skills, and life skills; and helping to run dialectical group therapy sessions for victims of substance abuse.
