Lorraine Robertson Waguespack got her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Simmons University in Boston, MA. Lorraine has trained extensively in integrative medicine, holding advanced degrees in clinical social work, community mental health nursing, and dual certifications as a pediatric nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner. An avid healer and patient advocate, she decided to get her social work degree after more than twenty years working as a cardiovascular nurse, provider, and teaching fellow.
Why did you choose mental health as a career path?
“I have chosen mental health as a career path because I believe that to provide optimal health care, we must consider the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Our mental health directly affects our physical health, and it’s important to achieve a balance to feel well.”
