Lori Richardson received her Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. She has over 20 years of experience in a variety of therapeutic roles, including time spent as a high school substance abuse counselor, a sexual trauma therapist, a social worker, an individual and family counselor, and a school-based therapist, among others. Throughout her career, Lori has always been drawn to guiding healing paths, combined with a prevailing interest in neuroscience and powerful therapies that supercharge positive feelings. At heart, Lori sees herself as a teacher, helping her clients learn to rewire their own neural pathways to promote healing. Lori currents treats ages 18 and up in our Asheville location, where she specializes in EMDR, Emotional Freedom Technique, PTSD, and anxiety disorders. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
