Leslie Roach, MSW, LCSW-A, LMBT, AND is clinical social worker and experienced body-worker who understands the courage it takes to pursue therapy. She strives to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming environment in which to begin this process.
Leslie works from a strengths-based approach to therapy, incorporating mind, body, spirituality, and environment into her assessment and treatment plans. Through her years as a bodyworker, she gained a clear understanding of the connection between mind and body. Since then, through her training in Somatic Experiencing, she has worked to incorporate awareness of one’s physiology into much of her therapeutic work. Above all, she believes that powerful healing comes from strong relationships, and she works to foster a safe, healing relationship with all her clients.
Leslie works well with clients who have experiences with trauma, who are members of the LGBTQQIA+ communities, and who suffer from eating disorders, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and attachment and/or family issues.
Leslie has been a licensed massage therapy practitioner since 2010. Her approach combines her background as a massage therapist with her intensive study of body movement — including yoga, gentler body energetics through polarity therapy, and Somatic Experiencing — to give her a uniquely rounded
and compassionate approach to clients’ needs.
She values listening, holding space, and attuning her practice to each individual and body. Her style combines deep tissue, myofascial techniques, active resistance therapy, polarity therapy, and somatic touch rooted in healing trauma wounds that have manifested in the body through problems with attachment and development. Her passion is empowering people to become more balanced and aware by helping them listen to the internal nature and wisdom of their bodies.
