About Lee Blackmon, MD

Dr. Lee Blackmon chose a field in mental health because of his passion for mental health and educating others so they can take back autonomy of their own lives, plus, he adds – what better way to get to work with people than just getting to talk and share stories? Dr. Lee Blackmon is most passionate about getting to celebrate daily wins in his patients’ lives, sharing their stories and experiences together, and watching the moving and grooving in peoples’ lives as they heal. Dr. Lee Blackmon believes that everyone is creative, resourceful, and whole – we just may not always see it in ourselves all the time. His objective is to help his patients find their fulfillment and achieve those goals that they always strive for, but something keeps getting in the way. Dr. Lee Blackmon loves education because he believes that knowledge is power. That being said, he will never pretend to be an expert in his patients’ lives and experiences. He is all about collaboration with his patient so that your goals align, and you both continue moving forward as best as you can.
