About Kristina Borus, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Ms. Borus was inspired to become a mindcare provider after experiencing the healing power of empathy and education from a very special nurse during a time of grief for her family. Through this life-changing experience, she was called to serve others in their greatest times of need. She knows that everyone experiences difficulties and that we can all benefit from a helping hand, a listening ear, and an empathetic heart. With over 11 years’ experience, Ms. Borus offers innovative, high-quality, patient-centered, holistic, trauma-informed cognitive and biological treatment approaches that are individualized and practical. She aims to provide a safe space for patients to be fully themselves, free from judgment, so that she can work with them to form a strong therapeutic partnership based on empathy, patience, and hope that maximizes patient wellness and quality of life.
Education & Certification
Kristina received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina in Wilmington, NC and her Associate of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. She is licensed as a Registered Nurse and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Board. Ms. Borus completed the Neuroscience Education Institute Master Psychopharmacology Program and is certified in both Introductory and Advanced CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association.
