About Karen Phillips, LCSW
After getting a B.S. in Foods and Nutrition and then deciding on a Masters Degree, Karen realized that what she was really passionate about was helping others through mental health and wellbeing services. She is fluent in French and conversant in Spanish, and believes that her priorities to empathize and be of service to others are among the main things that make her stand out. Karen holds a B.S. from the University of Arkansas and an MSW from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is trained in Trauma-Focused cognitive behavioral therapy, is currently taking training to work with youth who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. She holds a special interest in non-violent communication and specializes in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression and other clinical areas.
