About Karen Brodie, LCSW
Karen finds that helping people through life’s many challenges is a rewarding and fulfilling experience, which is why she chose to work in mindcare. She’s passionate about helping others navigate challenges by providing guidance to draw on their own strengths and realize their true potential to overcome life's obstacles. Karen is a trauma-focused clinician who utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing psychotherapy. She strives to remove her own biases and beliefs from patient care, to provide a safe space for patients to share ask for help. She values the quote from British illustrator Charlie Mackesy, “'Asking for help isn’t giving up’, said the horse, ‘it’s refusing to give up.’”
