About Janika Leary, LCSW

From a young age, Ms. Leary has been passionate about helping others improve their lives. With a strong desire to provide support to individuals of all ages who deal with psychological challenges, she is particularly dedicated to assisting adults with navigating life's challenges through utilizing individualized care and evidenced-based approaches. Within her career Janika has had the opportunity to provide mental health therapies and crisis response services in a wide range of settings.  Utilizing treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, she helps clients gain insight, develop problem solving skills, and learn to better regulate emotions. Ms. Leary enjoys supporting clients in processing negative thought patterns that impact their quality of life, in addition to providing psychoeducation on how to reconstruct thoughts to gain new perspectives. Inspired by therapist Amy Morin’s quote that, “time doesn’t heal anything, it’s how we deal with that time that determines the speed at which we heal,” Janika takes pride in empowering clients to become the experts of their own lives. She knows that making the choice to seek therapy demonstrates courage and commitment and feels honored to be able to partner with people in their process! She meets clients where they are in their journey and utilizes individualized treatment approaches to attain their desired outcomes.

If you have suspected coronavirus symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, please contact your primary care provider for recommended next steps. We are following CDC recommendations to wear face coverings. Please wear a cloth mask, if you have one, to the office. Be aware that your provider may also be wearing a mask for protection. If you have a scheduled in-office appointment at MindPath, but cannot attend in person either because you have symptoms or because you do not want to be in public, please call your MindPath office to switch your appointment to a telehealth visit where you can connect with your provider from your home.
