Jamie Gutterman, MSW, LCSW, RYT 200, works with adults, emerging adults, and adolescents interested in a holistic, strengths-based approach to healing and wellness. When meeting with a client, Jamie considers the ways in which psychological, physical, social, cultural, and spiritual elements impact their experiences. She assists clients in learning to use both body and mind as resources in their processes of healing and growth.
Jamie specializes in working with survivors of trauma, members of the LGBTQQIA+ communities, people navigating identity exploration, relational and interpersonal issues, life transitions, attachment and/or family issues, and people suffering from compassion fatigue and secondary traumatic stress (which can come from working in social justice, social movement, healthcare, or other social service settings). She also has clinical experience working with anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, and attention deficit challenges. In addition to her work as a mental health therapist, Jamie is a registered yoga teacher and cross-cultural experiential educator.
Jamie draws from her training in Somatic Experiencing, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practice, and family systems perspectives to create a therapeutic experience adapted for each client’s unique needs. Jamie is committed to helping her clients develop a greater capacity to live in their bodies and in their relationships, to choose how to respond to their experiences, and to build the lives they want.
