James has a wide variety of experience working as a therapist in diverse settings since 1993, providing cognitive behavioral therapy with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Having served in the Army, he knows that military families have unique stressors and challenges that he is equipped to help you through. Whether working with children or adults, James works hard to help individuals build on their unique strengths & better understand their symptoms to develop more effective skills in managing or eliminating their symptoms. He often educates clients about improved communication skills, relaxation skills, conflict management, and stress reduction techniques. His therapeutic style is best described as an engaging, down to earth approach in which he works hard to provide interventions that are practical and useful to your unique needs and situation.
