About Jacqueline Gonzalez-Helfeld, LMFT

Jacqueline Gonzalez-Helfeld is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Certified Addiction Professional and Qualified Supervisor for MFT’s in the State of Florida. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 1996 with a master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling. She has more than 23 years experience as a psychotherapist and has been in private practice for the past 3 years.

Mrs. Gonzalez-Helfeld works from a family systemic and humanistic perspective. Her approach is to create a comfortable and empathic environment where the person feels understood, supported and acknowledged. She works with clients to help them learn tools that they can use to expand their coping abilities and communication skills. She also works with clients to enrich who they are by exploring barriers that keep them from moving forward and obtain a balanced life.

She specializes in adults dealing with marital issues, stress management, anger, women’s issues, co-dependency, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, grief issues, life transitions and trauma (PTSD) through rapid resolution therapy. A unique factor to her practice is that as a Hispanic female that speaks both languages. She works with the Latino community to open the door to experience counseling in a positive manner and learn healthier ways to find resolution to life issues.
