About Gabrielle Mortis, PA

Ms. Mortis takes a holistic approach to psychiatry, helping patients comprehensively explore every facet of life that could be impacting their mental health—including physical health, spiritual/religious life, and more. She became a healthcare provider after finding her calling in PA school, having worked in emergency psychiatry, inpatient psychiatry, intensive substance/alcohol use outpatient programs, and in general emergency medicine/urgent care before deciding on outpatient therapy. This experience improved her understanding of how to take care of patients throughout the spectrum of their illness, treatment, and recovery process. She provides support in general areas of need with a specialization in alcohol and substance use, schizoaffective disorder, and schizophrenia. Ms. Mortis believes in the power of educating patients. She knows that when someone is educated, they are better equipped to make good decisions for themselves, and she believes this same principle applies to mental health. Ms. Mortis also believes in working together with patients to create a treatment plan, encouraging them to understand, honor, and achieve their wellness goals.
