About Clarence David Runnels, PMHNP

David knows that healing begins when people are listened to and understood. He has seen how patients feeling listened to and having easily accessible providers are two of the most important qualities for effective care. Abiding by the oath to “do no harm,” as a provider he focuses on helping others understand mindcare as a pathway to recovery, with the ultimate goal of increased quality of life. Mr. Runnels reminds patients that, as the Tao Te Ching says, “A journey of one thousand miles starts with one footstep.” He believes in holistic care, recognizing that each person he works with is unique and they need to be treated that way. David works to think outside of the box to find the right treatment for each patient. He enjoys meeting with and connecting to other people and gets excited when he sees patients make positive changes in their lives. Helping others understand mindcare symptoms and treatment is his passion in life.
