MindPath Care Centers Appoints Dr. Murray Zucker to Its Board

Dr. Zucker is a healthcare consultant and psychiatrist with more than 20 years of medical executive leadership.

DURHAM, N.C. – November 13, 2019 – MindPath Care Centers, North Carolina’s largest outpatient mental and behavioral healthcare provider, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Murray Zucker, M.D. to its Board of Directors. Dr. Zucker currently serves as Medical Director at Happify Health and is a healthcare consultant and psychiatrist with over 20 years of medical executive leadership in health insurance, managed care, consulting for large hospital systems, Fortune 500 companies, and provider groups.

Dr. Zucker has advised major health plans, provider groups and investors on innovation strategies, and relations with major payers, digital medicine start-ups design programs and raising capital investment. Additionally, he has advised major pharmaceutical companies in new drug roll-outs.

As a healthcare specialist, Dr. Zucker has also appeared on the Today Show, Good Morning America, 20/20, CNN, and LA Evening News. Has also been featured on the radio regarding behavioral issues, and in prominent newspapers and magazines including the Wall Street Journal, LA Times, and People Magazine and has been a mental health care consultant for television shows and movies.

Previously, Dr. Zucker also served as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Advisor to Chess Health, President of MLZ Consultants, Senior Medical Director for New Product and Innovation for United Healthcare/ Optum, and Medical Director of TriCare/Health Net.

Dr. Zucker holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.D. from the University of Rochester and completed his psychiatry residency at UCLA.
