DURHAM, N.C. – November 23, 2020 – MindPath Care Centers, North Carolina’s largest outpatient mental and behavioral healthcare provider, and portfolio company of River Cities Capital, is pleased to announce that it has acquired Johnston Psychiatric Associates (JPA) of Clayton, North Carolina.  The organizations will merge their practices and continue under the MindPath Care Centers name.  Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

MindPath Care Centers location in Clayton, NCFounded in 2006 by Dr. Mohammad Abu-Salha, JPA is a private psychiatric practice with ten licensed therapists that provides outpatient psychiatric and behavioral health care.  The organization is heavily invested in the mental and emotional wellbeing of the community and has adopted evidence-based approaches to psychiatric and behavioral disorders or emotional problems.  JPA sees pre-school children from age four to teens, adolescents, adults, and elderly patients, and provides therapy to individuals, couples and families in a very comfortable setting housed in a state-of-the art medical building.  JPA coordinates patient care with primary care providers, specialty physicians, local hospitals, and inpatient psychiatric services, both locally and statewide.  More information on JPA can be found at www.johnstonpsychiatricassociates.com.
