About Kim Finucan, LPC, LPC/S, DBTC, NBCCH
Kim Finucan joined MindPath Care Centers in 2020 as the Regional Vice President of South Carolina. Maintaining licensure as both a licensed professional counselor and licensed professional counselor supervisor, Kim has a strong commitment to providing services in a way that honors diversity, inclusion and belonging. With over 20 years of behavioral health experience in both clinical and executive roles, she has developed risk management systems, led organizations as they sought to change financial and clinical outcomes while maintaining a client focus. Additionally, she serves on the South Carolina Clinical Mental Health Counselor Association board of directors and provides consultation for clinicians seeking expert advice in the areas of counseling business management, trauma counseling, and counseling supervision.
In May 2016, Kim Finucan founded Changes Counseling Center, one of the largest private mental health practices in the Lowcountry, to express her passion for enabling others to live fulfilling lives. She brought together counseling best practices with a small team of professional counselors to take the first step in developing a practice that welcomes and supports community members on their mental wellness journey. Her clinics in North Charleston and Johns Island, South Carolina then merged with MindPath Care Centers in an effort to expand access to care in the southeast.
