About Abigail Sheriff
In her role as COO, Abigail (Abby) is responsible for managing and mentoring department heads, partner recruitment and management, human resources, front desk operations, strategic growth planning, process planning, and overseeing clinical operations with the medical management team. In 2018 she successfully took Carolina Partners through a private equity transaction, taking the lead on all of the data collection for the due diligence process as well as leading the 200+ providers and staff through the change.
Prior to entering the healthcare field, Abby worked in the hospitality industry for twelve years, most notably as the Owner-Operator at Piedmont Restaurant in Durham, NC. For ten years, she simultaneously served as the Director of Operations or board member at Girls Rock NC, a 501-c3 committed to empowering female-identified and gender non-conforming children ages 7-17 through musical performance, which she cofounded in 2004.
Abby studied Drama at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and was the recipient of the top audition scholarship for the Stella Adler School. She has now turned her dramatic flair to a different kind of stage, performing locally in a few bands, most recently Charles Latham and the Borrowed Band as a singer and guitar player.
Abby is proud to be raising four beautiful children with her husband in Durham, NC, where she was born.
