Creative Coping for Adolescents Group

Is your child struggling with confidence? Are they stressed, or having a hard time communicating their feelings and needs?

Start Date: TBD – Enrolling Now

Every Wednesday  |  4:30pm – 6:00pm

Ages 13 – 17

Cost: $45 per session

3610 Bush Street, Raleigh, NC 27609

At MindPath Care Centers, we are offering group meetings for adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17 where they can express themselves and explore their recovery journey through creative arts therapy. The group will meet in a safe and supportive environment where each member can express themselves and learn to manage their stress—all through an artistic lens. No artistic experience is required, and whether your child enjoys visual art, writing, or music, there are so many opportunities to work toward their treatment goals in a manner that will suit them best.

Creative arts therapy has been shown to have tangible and profound benefits for individuals in need of support, and we believe these benefits should be available to those of every age. Each week, the group will explore different forms of artistic expression, so that every individual will have the chance to shine and explore the art that speaks most clearly to them. By placing emphasis on mindfulness and purpose, each young adult will not only develop as an individual, but will create works that will reflect their journey and allow them to give voice to the internal thoughts and struggles that they may have difficulty expressing in their daily lives.

By the end of this group, participants will have:

  • Learned ways to utilize the creative arts for stress management and self expression.
  • Gained useful tools to identify and regulate emotions.
  • Feel more confident in their unique identities and in social interaction with peers.

We want to see your child flourish, and we look forward to sharing their creativity and treatment journey with you.

What our Patients Say

“I really enjoyed group. It was fun and helped me to express how I felt with anxiety and etc. not just one on one, but with other kids my age. I felt like I can share my feeling easier when someone asks if I’m ok, because I know everybody deals with this at one point and I’m not alone at all, and they made it fun so it wasn’t awkward to share."
